Adoptions

The statistics on adoptions contain data about children adopted from Finland or abroad by a person or persons permanently resident in Finland. There may be either one or two adoptive parents. A new spouse of a child’s biological parent may also adopt his or her stepchild(ren). Data on adoptions are produced by the age, gender and country of birth of adopted children.
